Had to make my cover decision a few weeks ago and went with the diamondback se in black. Love the ability to open front and rear of cover. Plus you don't see that many around

Useless without pics! Just kidding.... But seriously, you have pics? Lol

Love the idea of the Diamond HD. Just not sure if I am ready for the price. When I have looked in the past, I think retail was about $1,500. They say it will outlast your truck which is good.

I also like the accessory boxes.

I have a question, anyone use the Diamondback with a back rack? I know Diamondback offers a back rack, but from what I can tell, it is part of the cover and it comes off along with the cover .

Not sure if having another brand back rack will mess things up

I've had a Diamondback HD in black on my 2014 CC short bed for about 9 months now and I've been pleased. It's very much weather proof...important down here in South Florida.

I also got the 13" deep cross bin. Make sure that you carefully decide on the cross bin you get. The deeper one obviously takes away from some of the storage you'd otherwise have directly on the truck bed, which is just a trade off with how much storage you have in the bin. In hindsight, I would have gone with the 8" deep one in order to have more storage underneath it. Right now there's only about 4-5 inches underneath it with the OEM bedliner in place.

With the HD model you get extra tie down cleats, and I already had a Gladiator Cargo Net which works out pretty well to secure all the stuff we haul out to camping trips, etc. One caveat with the cleats is that the big cargo net hooks don't get the best "bite" on them, so I bought a set of large, strong carabiners to make up the difference.

I think you could technically attach any back rack to the Diamondback as it's the right size to fit on the top flat portion of the Diamondback. I don't believe you'd be able to attach a rack directly to the bed box because the cover would be in the way.

Check out the BAK revolver x2. It is the best of both worlds. Hard cover and soft cover all in one.

Ex-Avalanche owner here, went with the Extang Solid Fold 2.0. Reminds me of the Avalanche cover in strength. It is waterproof. I like that there are no bed rails to install, simple installation and removal if needed. Only problem I have found is the cover freezing to the tailgate in the winter.
