Losing my mind, but GM Chat has been very helpful. Not. "Your truck was built on April 7th and the vin# is blah, blah, blah". When will it ship? You'll have to contact your dealer for that info. 3 days later, still no news on ship date.

I already have 0 patients so knowing that I have to wait 2-3 months for a truck that's exactly what I would want would kill me. I was lucky and found a near perfect truck on the lot, the only thing I wish was different is the gear ratios, other than that I love it. A 6.2 with trailer brake would have been a plus but I'm fine with the 5.3 and I can always add a trailer brake if I need one.

I myself own an Avy and waiting on my GMC. I put the order in on March 17th and the dealer informed me I should have it by April 27th or 28th. Since I live in Houston, (being closer and major city) might save me a week or two on transport.

Stone blue, crew cab, denali, standard bed, 6.2, trailer brake.

I never rec'd a clear answer from the dealer if it was the max trailer or 6.2 that causing the delays. They did say the 6.2s were highly sought after. From my readings, I'm guessing that the 6.2 with the 8 speed might have had early issues and they wanted to get it resolved quietly before anymore were released. Again, just my assumption.

Do you know if your truck has been built yet?

From my understanding, yes it's been built and to get a VIN it's either been built or process of being built. Someone posted on another thread an article about how the train rails are not able to keep up with the demand and looking to invest to expand.
