While technically not BBQ, all the cooked food on this plate was done on my Bubba Keg Komodo grill for a contest on seafood. This was my winning entry.

No pics but up here in the North its sausage heaven and tailgating once the snow melts. I myself don't care for beef (yes its true) but the family loves the pork. When I let my young kids pick first choice is ribs followed by pulled pork. They won't even let me get away with country ribs "gotta have bones in it dad!"

I smoke my pork shoulder a full 24 with a mix of cherry, apple and maple. Pain in the ass and I usually get hammered somewhere along the line but worth it.

I like all styles of BBQ but I have been using this sauce on pulled pork sandwiches for 15 years. You can make a double batch and put it in the fridge and it will last. We use it on everything and everyone loves the stuff. Gets better after a few days and is great warm on those pork sandwiches.

I want to give something back to this forum so here you go.

South Carolina Style BBQ Sauce

1 cup

prepared yellow mustard

½ cup

sugar

¼ cup

light brown sugar

¾ cup

cider vinegar

¼ cup

water

2 tablespoons

chili powder

1 teaspoon

black pepper

1 teaspoon

white pepper

¼ teaspoon

cayenne

½ teaspoon

soy sauce

2 tablespoons

butter

1 tablespoon

liquid smoke (hickory flavoring)

Mix all except soy, butter and smoke. Simmer 30 minutes. Stir in remaining ingredients and simmer for 10 more minutes. Vinegar taste may be very strong until completely cooled. Refrigerating overnight is best and allows flavors to blend.

Add a few drops of Louisiana Hot Sauce at the end if additional heat is desired.

Haha... great weekend for it! We went to my son's house for grilled burgers and 'dogs. They were great but not really picture-worthy.
