Xtreme White PIAAs

Has anyone installed the Xtreme White PIAA bulbs in their headlights? I'm curious as to how bright/white they look. If you did run these bulbs, what bulbs did you use in the fog lights to match? (the Xtreme White's don't come in the fog light size).

If you have a 2014 or early 2015 I would get the free headlight update first, then go from there. The new VOLSA bulb is a whiter temperature than the stock bulbs.

I have a set of PIAA 540 Driving Lights with those bulbs in them, they are bright and light up everything. I got them for my Mini as the high beams were not bight enough on the back roads at night. Want to see the deer before I get too close. Those in my 540's are H3 bulbs, 55 watt. Expensive but good bulbs.

@TJay74 - I didn't know there was a headlight update. Is the VIN code for the 2015 posted anywhere? Curious as to whether I am eligible

Isn't the update only for GMC. I wouldn't waste my money on PIAA bulbs. For an incandescent bulb upgrade I'd switch to H9 and 9011 bulbs-no tint for maximum lumens.

That is correct the update is only for the GMC Sierra, updating to a brighter HIR2/9012 bulb and a voltage update on the light housing. If those are for the Silverado I am not sure what bulb those take, but PIAA makes their bright white bulbs in a good number of sizes. I am familiar with the H3 version as I have them in my driving lights, and very satisfied with them.

H9 and 9011 is a popular upgrade for the Silverado which uses H11 and 9005 bulbs stock.

To be honest, I wished the Sierra light assembly was more like the Silverado's. I hate the fact they use this unique bulb that is mostly found on European cars. I mean they could of still used the shutter system for high/low operation and used like say a H13/9008 that has both High and Low in one bulb.
