We are having the same issues with our 2015 Silverado 2500. Can you tell me how to correct this issue with this radio screen glitch?

I have a 2018 Silverado LTZ 1500 and the radio is so glitchy it is unusable. I would think something like this would be covered under a recall since the issue is wide-spread.

Please reply with how to privately DM you with the VIN, we have a made an appt with our dealership. Yes, we’ve paid for all of the updates on the system so that is not the issue.

Worked on a 2017 Yukon with the Intellilink screen flickering. Found the Human Interface Control Module Bypass Module. RPO Code: K188. It is located just left of the steering column. Had internal connector fretting. I Unplugged and plugged back in the connectors. Remounted the module. Screen acts normal.

I have a 2017 GMC Sierra and the screen was flickering. The human interface control module bypass module trick worked. I unplugged and plugged back in the connectors and the screen is working! Thanks for the easy fix!

I'm sure GM will fix it just like the fm reception, steering vibration and seat issues. I'm about to get a Ford. This '14 high country 4x4 has been a true disappointment.

First time poster here. I have a car dealership in Florida. Traded a 2017 Silverado with real low miles. Had the screen flickering issue. My salesman had the same issue in his truck and had it re-flashed and that fixed the issue. I replaced the screen with a used unit, didn't fix mine. I gave it to a friend who is a tech at Cadillac so he had all the proper software. He swapped the unit with the one in his truck, and eventually condemned the screen. $400 later, new screen arrives, install it, same issue. Reflashed the software, same issue. I was ready to throw in the towel on the entire thing after 2 screens, new software etc and it dawned on me, I have had a number of bad HDMI cables in my day on televisions, so what about the USB? I Dug through my junk drawer and made a Male to Male Mini USB cable, ran it from the Screen to the Computer and low and behold the issue stopped. I ordered a factory USB cable from Chevrolet, $13 took a few weeks to arrive. Now a month down the road, still no issues and the customer is happy. I feel like I run into things like this all the time and never find the time to post my solutions so hopefully this helps someone in the future. It is incredibly likely the screen is bad, its a rampant issue, but before you spent the money check that cable. It is kinked at a really weird angle and I think damages the lines ability to send a proper signal.

I am having the same issue with my radio. I own a 2018 GMC Sierra and was wondering if anyone could send me a pic, or post one on this thread of the  Human Interface Control Module Bypass Module. RPO Code: K188 that is located just left of the steering column. I would really like to get my problem fixed. I just am not sure how to identify the box. I have identified the HMI 2.5 box behind the glove box but not this specific one mentioned in this post.

Thanks, Mike B. from  Iowa50647487_2018GMC(2).thumb.JPG.0e9a4dfd9f25ae2ee8cb72f869766a1e.JPG

What is the length on the M/M USB cable?  I've seen quite a few of them at the 99¢ Store, even-though I've never seen the need for one, until now.
