I am getting a lift on my truck today and wanting to get bigger tires. I am running 33x12.5x 18r right now on a levelling kit but getting a 6" bds suspension lift on it and o think it will look like I missed leg day with those tires :P. I was looking at putting 35"s on it once the lift is on and was wondering if it would be really dog like ( sluggish ). Pretty sure the gears in my truck are 3.42"s. I also got a black bear programmer if that would help my shift points? Looking for some help/ advice and options.

Thanks guys have a great day!

To keep original performance(not really original, doubt your truck came from factory with 33x12x18) of the truck and 3.42 gears, you will need to change both ring and pinions to a ratio of 3.62. Since that ratio does not exist, next best is 3.73. If the truck came with the normal size tire (usually the base tire size is 265-70-17) that is about 31.6 inches in diameter, changing to a 35 inch tire would require the 3.73 ratio to return truck to the way it was new.
