Black and Tan 15 Silverado LT

I am a long time Silverado owner. Over the past 12 years I have had 4 fairly base pick-ups that I have mostly left stock. I went in for an oil change on my 13 Z71, and a beautiful black truck caught my eye. I pulled my truck in to the service area and walked the lot to take a closer look. An hour and a half later, and alot of back and forth with the salesman, I was the proud owner of that beautiful black 5.3 V8 double cab truck that caught my eye eariler.

This one looks great already, but it is begging for more! I will keep this as up to date as I can.

It's a LT that came with:

Black front and rear bow ties.

Full chrome grille

Front and rear mud guards

6" Tube side steps (black)

Tow package with 3.42 rear

LT Plus package

Front bucket seats

All-Star package

Dealer installed gloss black 22" wheels with Bridgestone AT

A few things I have changed this week. The truck came with the matte black rally stripe package from GM, the dealer wanted to charge me a crazy price to install. I did it myself, and most likely did a better job.

 

I replaced the stock grille and shell with a full gloss black mesh grille with chrome accents (matches the chrome lug nuts).

Changed the chrome headlight trim to gloss black and added black tail light trim.

Also a drop in bed liner and bed cover.

 

Next week will be the MBRP cat-back (dual rear exit) and front leveling kit. Any suggestions on what kit and how much to level this out right?

It is an overlay I picked up from eBay, fit is perfect.

Exhaust is on. Let me just give a tip. Find someone with a lift, just because you can fit under the truck does not mean that putting an exhaust on will be easy!

 

It turned out pretty good, going to stop by a shop later in the week and have everything spot welded. Not too sure about the clamps holding everything together.

Moving cars/truck around to pull the truck in the garage to put in some new 6k headlight bulbs, seemed a fitting time to take a picture.

I installed the Bull Bar today. I think it looks great, glad I went with black and not chrome. I was going to have the bumper painted, but it really breaks up the front end. I picked up some 2x4" led spot lights, but I did not like the look of them on the bar. Going to grab a 20" led bar and see if it looks any better.

 

Also installed the Putco Nitro Blue 6000k halogen headlights and high beams, and 6000k LED fog lights. Headlights are meh, high beams are GREAT and the LED's are amazing. Everyone should swap out the fog lights, very easy and a HUGE difference.
