2014 silverado 1500 rear end vibration--my story

Well as many of the other users on here my truck also has the vibration in the rear end about 60mph.

My truck has extensive modifications so i have not been able to do anything at the dealership to try and solve this issue.

Mine shakes at 58ish-67ish mph (at least thats where it is the worst)---below 55mph and there is no vibration at all

Ok, so my truck has the rear end narrowed, and aftermarket wheels, so that is the first 2 things i checked, had the axles sent back and the had the rear wheels checked for balance/run-out issues

After getting a new set of axles(2nd set) from Moser Engineering and them assuring me the issue was not in the axles i moved on to the rear wheels, after having them balanced at 2 different places and no issues being found i put stock wheels back on the rear and the issue is still there, so that rules out the issue being the wheels.

Next i thought maybe its the u-joints or possibly driveline angle, so i took the driveshaft completely ouf of the truck and had a buddy pull me up to 60mph with a tow strap. still has the same vibration.

So, the only thing left is for the issue to be in th rearend itself, and the axles have been replaced twice so it MUST be an issue with the center section of the rear end.

Has anyone ever found a sure enough fix to what the issue is?

Everything I've read says no. A couple found out the ring gear was out of spec and had it replace but most have not found the smoking gun causing the issue.

Are you sure it's the rearend? Did it do this before you modded the rear axle?

If it didn't start until after you did the rear axle mods and with what you've checked, have you looked into the rear coils? I know somewhere else you mentioned that you have coilovers front and rear so maybe that's your issue. Maybe stiffen up the rear and see what happened. Because of the coils in the rear do you have any kind of 4 link setup or anything to stop the axle from jumping all over the place?

yes it did it before but not near as bad.

I think its getting worse as i put more miles on it.

did all mods with about 500 miles on it....now had 2500 miles on it. which is where i see most people start noticing the issue
