2015 silverado 5.3 exhaust

I have talked to the exhaust shop he says to delete the valve and put a magna flow 14 inch muffler on and leave the resonator any suggestions

A friend of mine did the same thing, but I think his MagnaFlow muffler is longer. It sounds really good, and isn't too loud at all.

Yeah i have heard the 22 inch magnaflow on the same application it sounds stock

I have 14" magnaflow with no resonator and flapper removed. Sounds awesome. Good sound when getting on it, barely noticeable while cruising. Do it.

How does it sound at idle

His rumbles at idle, and you can hear it when he gets on it, but it's almost stock quiet he said when cruising down the road.

Sounds good. You can hear it, but its not loud by any means. Nice deep rumble. I'm charging my GoPro up. I've been wanting to make an exhaust video for a while now anyway. I'll make one in a little bit.

 

I've had flowmaster before and it drones like crazy and V4 was horrible. I've had 18" magnaflow as well. Sounds really good, just not loud enough for my taste. 14" is perfect. Only other one I'd go with is Corsa.

I had the aFe Mach Force XP on my 5.3 and thought it was perfect. Wasnt obnoxiously loud, had a nice deep mellow tone and had almost no V4 drone especially compared to other K2's I've rode in with aftermarket exhaust.
