A bus of us from work are going to the Chicago Autoshow Wednesday (2-13-2002).  I think we will be there from 10:30 to 3.  Are there things I should pay special attention to?  Anyone else going then?

Been there, I'll be going again Tuesday night, Friday night and probably next weekend sometime.

What else is there to look at besides the GM trucks?

Seriously, there's the Tonka ford truck (a big yellow hunk of junk)  and they have a ZO6 you can sit in.  :(

Man oh man, did you see the interior of that tonka truck?  It looked like it was from a sci-fi movie, like you'd get probed if you sat in it.

Siume99, there is a lot of cool stuff, just wait you'll be running back and forth.  Make sure you get the info from the hummer booth.  It has two posters, one of the H! and the other of the H2.

Aside from that, look at the silverado, Solstice, Grand Prix - G-Force, and a few other nice new models.

How could you like that tonka truck?  It was big, yellow, and ugly.  Not to mention the fact that it had something like 22 or 24" rims on it.  You don't like the looks of the redesigned chevy, but you like that.  I'm starting to wonder about you ryan, did you take a bump to the head these past few days?

And while we're talking about the auto show.  Was it just me or did anyone else think the Dodge M80 would be a "big" truck.  The things smaller than the S10.  To give you an idea I think that model next to it in the black is roughly 5'6" at best.

The tonka truck was AWESOME.  It had some LT315's on it.  Did you see the engine and trans for it (tim allens bark inserted here hehe)

The dodge M80 was a midget pickup.  Couldnt believe it when i seen it thought it was gonna be huge

Also did you notice the dodge with the atv in the rear?  Sagged pretty good.  From the drivers seat you could tell you had a load in the back

Noticed it, heck, I even sat in it.  That crew cab was pretty nice and was spacious for a tall guy such as myself.  But, the interior is still lacking and the exterior still looks too echhh for me.  I'd like to get a crew cab silverado, they were really roomy and w/ the new interior they looked awesome.  Now if only I could justify the cost.

That Tonka truck IS a joke.  It has a hybrid Hydraulic propulsion system to help get the truck moving from a dead stop despite the fact that it'll have the next generation Power Stroke Diesel.   :lookaround:

Thanks guys.  Your right about that Ford looking like a Tonka.  I still think Tonka makes a better truck.    I still have a few!  Now where did I put them?  ??? I LOVED playing with my Tonka pickup with removable wheels.  The thing was huge last time I played with it.

It actually says "Tonka" on the tailgate I believe.

In big letters too, here's a close up of it (pardon the quality I had to crop a larger picture)
