Paint problems on 2014 Silverado!!! Anyone know what this

Bought a High Country and have severe paint chips on the rocker panels. Definitely a prep issue as the primer is still in good shape. GMs solution is for me to pay $320 bucks to have it fixed. Hard to swallow after laying out 52k for their top of the line truck

The paint completely came off my truck in the car wash....had to have it entirely repainted. Looks like you got lucky with only a spot!

I have a couple of spots just like that on my black 2015 Silverado. Great truck, not so great paint. I believe the paint on my 07 was better.

I took it to my dealer's body shop and the manager explained that the spots appeared to be "environmental" and caused by something sitting on the paint too long. I am not buying that excuse...I think it is definitely a prep / paint issue from the factory. My truck color is not even the right color. The color is a few shades lighter than any other Tungsten Metallic that I have seen on the road or dealer's lots. I had to have my fiberglass cap custom matched to the truck's paint because of the difference in color. My last two trucks never had any issues with the color and or spots in the paint.

I have rust popping thru my 2013 silverado paint. Took it to the dealer and I already knew what they were going to say "rock chip" started it. They gave me an estimate of 811.00 to fix a dime size rust spot. Funny thing is it came from under the primer. Anyone else having these paint problems? I am so tired of this. I even had the vehicle coated at the dealership to prevent rust on the body and rims. A lot of good that did it means nothing when you take it back to the dealership. My last 2000 Silverado didn't start showing rust until it 10 years old, this one is starting and its not even 3 years old. God I don't want to keep this one as long as I kept my 2000 Silverado there wont be anything left to it. It is sad I keep the vehicle clean and in good shape, wax it and everything. Now I hear the frames are rusting as well as the rims. My buddy had his frame redone and new rims at no charge, he told me that you could only have so many miles on it though. its all bull its not the miles that makes it rust!! I have owned Chevrolets for a long time starting to wonder if its not time for a change or a different dealership. Went thru this with my 2010 Equinox rust spot on the hatch door, same thing I must have chipped the paint. After I had it repaired chevy reimbursed me for it. Just getting tired of wasting my time and efforts. It should be about customer service

I am so disgusted with this and GM's way of treating loyal customers. Started of with a 73 chevelle, 79 half ton, 85 half ton, 95 berretta, 03 blazer, 00 Silverado, 10 equinox and now my 13 Silverado rust bucket. maybe its time to try a ford again. I never like the seat material in the Silverado anyways (cloth) to hard to keep clean.....maybe ford will treat a loyal customer better!!!
