I've been having a similar issue with my 2008 Avalanche LTZ. Two dealers haven't been able to find the problem.

The Park Assist warning flashes, the doors lock, I occasionally lose power, and it stalls when not moving. I changed the 175A mega and the problem disappeared for a week. Now, the problem has started again. In addition, the fuel warnings activate (dash light and NAV) and the physical fuel gauge drops to zero. It does return to normal after a few miles.

Does anyone have any clues? I did post this question in its own thread.

So far so good.

I tracked every visible and reachable wire in electrical system from back to front looking for any damaged or loose wiring. That took over an hour and everything looked fine.

I unbolted the ground wire from behind the driver's side front wheel (10mm), cleaned and degreased both the wire and the frame, lightly sanded the frame around the post to ensure good contact, and tightly re-attached the wire. I had previously replaced the 175a mega and still had one recurrence.

I have driven almost 300 miles now and have not had any recurrences of the problem. If I have any more issues I'll update, but at this point I'll say the issue has been resolved.

Thanks for all of the help!

Having the same problems with my 2009 GMC Sierra. I just bought from the original owner about 2 months ago and about 1 month later right after I started it, the door locks went crazy, the radio went on and off in time with the door locks, as did the compass and the truck started to stumble and lacked acceleration. After 20 seconds, it all stopped until about 5 minutes later while driving at 35 down a road. After research, I bought a new battery ( it was the original) made sure the cables were cleaned and I have had no problems UNTIL TODAY when it did the same thing all over. Door locks on and off, radio on and off, compass on and off, truck stumbles like its out of gas. I noticed none of the gauges were affected in anyway. I pulled into a parking lot, shut it off and it would not restart ( like it had a dead battery, no power at all, no display) I looked under hood and noticed that the wire going from the battery to the starter had been wrapped in duct tape and was laying on the frame of the truck. I pulled it up off the frame and the truck restarted and I drove home. After reading the other threads, I'm taking it in and having new cables, battery sensor and all connections cleaned and tightened. Any other suggestions? Am I missing anything? After reading all the electrical issues GMC/Chevy has had over these years, I'm hoping I dont regret my decesion to buy this truck
