Love it. Someone will gladly pay 80k for it lol.

It's a 2500. That's sticker price.

They should make a lot more of them. The Sturgis rally proves what P.T. Barnum said. "There's a sucker born every minute." Anyone who will pay $6.00 for a beer and flock to a town where everything costs 3 times what it's worth, has cops on every corner looking to bust you for the most trivial things, and ride in a town full of people on bikes that have no clue as to how to ride them, will pay stupid money for anything that says "Sturgis." Most of the chumps trailer their bikes so they need a truck. Besides it's a conversation starter to talk about the bike that they never ride.

Clearly you have never been there. Sturgis is to the riding community what Disney World is to kids and families... Overpriced but worth every penny.

But this is a truck forum...

I saw the truck in person as well, and thought it was well done. Don't recall the price though, but I'm sure it was spendy.

Well I have been there, many many, times. I was in a club and we went there as a group. First time forty years ago. You could camp in City Park. The people who went were there to see Hill Climbs, Flat track Racing, and motorcycle drags. Now it's yuppies who own motorcycles as a fashion accessory. They go to be seen not for what they can see. I know people who went this year as of yesterday I hear there were six fatalities. I gave up on Sturgis in '06 when I was riding up Highway 85 toward Deadwood when a group of bikes were heading southbound. We had a single lane northbound while the southbounders had two lanes. That wasn't enough for one clown on a Road king. He need my lane to make the curve. He nearly head on collided with me. He was completely in my lane

It's just a party now for wannabe bikers. People go there to party and then ride bikes that they can't ride well when they are sober. They but tee shirts and patches to sew on their vests to show they were there. That's why I think the truck will be a success.

These guys will buy anything that says "Sturgis", so that truck should be quite a seller.

Sounds to me like that you've never been there!!!!

EDIT: Sorry...I guess you have been there :) . ( I posted before I read your post.) But I still enjoyed it when I went in 2010 and 2011. However, that was plenty for me. It's definitely more fun the first time.

My old club brother and I rode up to the rally in Red Lodge, Montana last month. That was great. A lot of bikes but you could still ride up the street, not stop and go with a four way stop at each intersection. We could park on the street, a beer was 3 bucks, and the scenery was great. I only saw two cops. They were walking on the sidewalk and were friendly. A sharp contrast to Sturgis. Beartooth pass and Chief Joseph Highway are breathtaking. I'm from Colorado so I am hard to impress with mountains but Red Lodge does it. Unfortunately they'll never make a Red Lodge truck.

I went in 2010 too. Crazy, crazy traffic. I don't think anyone running the city cares. We were on a 10 state 4000 mile circle, which was awesome, but Sturgis was a mess.

Please enlighten us all on what a "Real" biker is then please. One of those cool guys in Waco killing over patches?

The way I see it - all bikers are posers - me included (when I had mine before kids). Unless you NEED a bike for your job or it is your only form of transportation because it's all you can afford, then it's a toy. This whole idea of "Real" bikers and "Real" truckers is a freaking joke. Buy a bike to have fun and stop judging and harassing other people.

IMO it's someone who gets on the bike to actually ride it instead of the people who get on to go stand in a parking lot or go from bar to bar/put down the street.

Well your bike may be a "toy" to you, my bikes are not. I own three Harleys. I own a '14 Silverado. My last truck was 16 years old and still had under 100,000 miles. Neither of the last two trucks or the two before it have never been out of the State. Two of my bikes are out of state several times a summer. Last year I put a new rear tire on my Streetglide in June and needed a new one in September when I was in San Diego. The guys I ride with, and myself put more miles on our bikes than our 4 wheeled vehicles. It snows here and I occasionally haul things. Real bikers go on vacations on their bikes, they work on their own bikes and help their buddies work on theirs. They know how to ride and ride well. They usually have more money invested in bikes than 4 wheel vehicles. In good weather the bike is the main form of transportation. Finally real bikers don't ride to be seen or impress the girls, they ride to get places where they see all the beauty our amazing country has, and for daily transportation.

Now as for the Waco fiasco. I understand the fight was about a parking space. Happens with women everyday in parking lots. The only difference is the cops had snipers around the place and took the opportunity to shoot some "bikers." That deal is far from over. Now I know a few Bandidos (they were one of the clubs at Waco). I rode with one I've known for years after having lunch one day. He said I wish my brothers could ride together the way we do. I know what you are going to do before you do it. He's a rider, did hillclimbs and flat track. I did a little flat track years back. No, not all outlaws are "real bikers." he is.

LOL. Yep, just like I thought. I bet you look down upon non-Harley guys too, huh? And look down on the guys who wear helmets? And I bet you have straight pipes with no muffler? And I bet you wear a Harley shirt or jacket EVERY time you ride? If it ain't your way, it's a poser? Ok.

A "real" biker is ANYBODY that likes to go out on their bike and have fun - that's what toys are for. Just because they don't vacation with their bikes, doesn't mean they're not bikers. Just because they don't do it YOUR way, doesn't make them not bikers. You're the poser, not us. I don't even own a bike right now, and I still consider myself a biker - I just haven't been able to find one that fits 3 car seats for my kids, but that's for a different forum.

And FYI, the Waco incident was started in the bathroom when one group of "bikers" didn't think that the other "bikers" should have been wearing a certain patch on their jacket. It escalated from there. The police should have let natural selection play out for a little longer before stepping in IMHO...

This is ridiculous. I make a comment on a truck and you tell me about my bikes that you have never seen, my opinions on bikes and helmets, and even what I wear. You have no clue, yet you rattle on. I wasn't at Waco. So I only know what the conflicting reports were. The number of head shots indicate snipers, a set up by the cops. Whatever. Only a fool argues with an idiot., and only an idiot would make the assumptions you have about me. Say what you will I won't respond. I'm going riding in beautiful Colorado. Have fun in Texas.
