No power at Back up light pin on trailer Harness

I ran into a little snag when wiring up a Hopkins backup camera. The kit has a harness that pugs in between the bumper plug and the stock wire harness, which is what I like, I hate tapping into the stock wiring, but I will if needed.

So I found that my center pin on the 7 way trailer plug harness has no power, which means the b/u camera has no clue to turn on when in reverse.

I tested this by having the truck in reverse, I know someone will ask I did :-)

I tested the b/u kit out by using the parking lamp pin as a replacement for the b/u light pin and the kit works fine.

I tested the truck harness that comes down from the wiring loom and there is no power there.

I tested the B/U Light fuse in under hood fuse block and that has power and a good fuse.

I inserted the "B+" fuse for the HD trailer package that my truck has. But this should make no difference as its for the constant 12v pin.

What am I missing? all of the other trailer harness pins work?

Is there a fuse or connection I am missing?

Thanks

Ok, I thought I saw a wire going into the center pin, light blue or green if I remember correctly. But then again I have looked at a bunch of wires with this and I am getting old, so I may just imagine stuff these days

I'll get back under there and double check.

If it is not in the harness, would it be tucked away somewhere?

I just went and looked at my RPO codes, I do not have VD1, so I don't have the blunt cut.

If I am reading the diagram correctly, the Triangle "D" by the "TRLR B/U Fuse" label is a continuation from the "D" up near the "RT TRLR ST/TURN" fuse? Or is it a continuation of the "D" in the brake controller area just below the relay block I/P section?

Thanks for this help.

I prefer not to hack the wiring and this is helping.

Thanks NitroCherokee.

It looks like there is nothing between the fuse under the hood and the rear bumper plug. I guess and am tracing wires and looking for a break in it. After I double check the pin has a light green wire attached.

I do not see another connector or junction any where in that circuit. Should be a pretty simple diag. I would first see if that fuse powers up when you put it in reverse then go from there
