Is the stock catback exhaust worth anything?

Is a Denali crew cab standard box 6.2 exhaust worth anything?

I remember some years back I had my 2002 Z06 and cut off the stock titanium exhaust worth $400+ and junked it because I was a young kid and didn't do my research.

Now I am putting a Borla ATAK catback on the truck, so I will have the entire stock exhaust with only 1500 miles on it. Worth trying to sell? Is there a market for it? Or just let the shop keep it?

Don't think it's worth much, but I'd throw it in the rafters if you have room...incase you don't like the Borla or decide to sell.

For a newer vehicle like this you won't find too many people who need to repair stock exhaust but you will find people that need it to put it back to stock for better resale.

For what you are going to get for it, even if you find a desperate person, it is better to hang onto it. Somebody like CarMax will ding you $500-$750 for not having stock exhaust.

Exactly what was posted above. I cut mine into 3 piece and tucked it in the corner in the rafters.

I found a spot for my stock exhaust in my basement. Like others have said, in case I want to return to stock.

I have one from my '14 5.3 and kept it, if I have custom exhaust put on my '15 6.2 and take off the stock catback I'll keep that one too. I think they're stainless steel for one, which is nice, and in 2-3 years maybe a little longer when trucks that have alot of miles start needed exhausts you should be able to sell it for a much better price than $200 because it'd cost a helluva lot more to replace it than that.

Also, for what it's worth I sold my truck with all of the modifications and I am still trying to sell the stock 5.3 catback exhaust for $100 OBO, everything else is gone already. Goes to show how much more valueable it is to keep it, especially for a lightly modified vehicle that can be put back to stock in an afternoon.

In general, yes, but to the right person. I have seen stock exhaust listed on my local Craigslist and in the For Sale section on this forum but not for much. Here is a link to one... http://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/topic/175618-20142015-stock-exhaust/?hl=stock+exhaust

As others above have said, some members have cut them up when installing a performance and then want to go back. To see more listings, go to the link I provided, search on Stock Exhaust and you'll see quite a few. Also listed will be WTT or WTB from some who are trying to find one...good luck (cut mine in three pcs and hanging on to it).
