Cool, good stuff. I DD'd mine for the first 2 years, was a beast in the snow. Then after the Cam Swap and all, it was only driven in the summer for the next 3yrs, then sold it. Still can't believe those cars hold value that well, sure was an amazing car.

They should hold their value that well - was a perfect combo of power/size comfort looks etc. It handled like a 3 series, had the interior size of nearly a 7 series, RWD, highly mod-able V8, perfect 50/50 weight dist. etc.

I still find it astonishing and a bit sad to be honest that the GM marketing people didn't know how good that car was or how to sell it. Now the Chevy SS is about to die and TBH the ONLY reason I didn't get into one of those when I was shopping for a replacement for the G8 was a) originally they didn't come w/ a manual now they do damnit!!! and b) the staggered wheels....TOUGH to deal w/ on a heavy RWD performance sedan, you can't rotate and tire changes get $$$$

Why on earth they labeled a FWD rental car an "Impala" when they already had an Impala sitting in their lots w/ the Chevy SS.

I don't care what anyone says, the Chevy SS is the modern day equivalent of the Chevy Impala, not that POS 4 banger FWD crap they sell.

I mean its almost scary that GM is this inept....does Dodge have trouble selling the Charger? Hyundai did so good w/ their RWD platform Genesis now they make an Equus - oh well.

GM Borla. No drone, even when towing.

I ordered a GM Borla today....not cheap that's for sure

That "...even when towing." part is meaningful. When you tow, you make more BMEP (cylinder pressures are higher) just to cruise down the road because it takes quite a bit more power to cruise with a large trailer. That means the noise level is higher, since the pressure pulse from the exhaust of each cylinder is higher.

Sounds like you made a wise choice.

Get a Diablo tuner and turn off the AFM. Then order a Gibson exhaust. Sounds great imo

I can't speak for others but Ive had Borla Atak on my 6.2 for two weeks now and I'm loving it. The tones the truck has now are amazingly deep but not so loud that it wakes the whole neighborhood up.

Absolutely no drone on my 2015 6.2 with the 12909 Magnaflow. Removed the flapper but left the resonator.

Have exact same muffler on my 6.2 as Robvas and also removed flapper but left the resonator.

Drone is minimal around 60 mph or so.

For $160.00 or so this was a very good modification to make.

The Borla went on today....

Haven't spent much time in the truck since but the exhaust is definitely not loud.

Has some deeper tones for sure.

I do notice how much the 8 speed is shifting more now because I can hear it....this is only negative.

Even getting on the gas hard it isn't annoying.

I don't expect it to drone when I pull later this week.

Looks very nice with the dual tips out the back and tucks away below truck very well.

Not sure it's worth what we pay for em but I could say that about a lot of things.
