GM CK106 gloss black wheels installed by my dealer this morning. I wasn't sure but after seeing the finished product I couldn't be happier! About the only thing "LTZ" left on my truck is the chrome door molding. I guess I'll leave like it is (it matches my bumpers ).

Do you have the MGP caliper covers? How do you like them? Truck is looking very sharp! are you going to make your bow tie on those new wheels red?

I like both chrome and black wheels on trucks. I just bought a set of the GM CK164 "Hyper Black" to run in the winter and keeping my chromies for spring/summer/fall.

Yes those are MGP caliper covers. Been on my truck for a little over a year and still look brand new with no problems. As far as the bowties...I'm just not sure yet. The caps that the dealer ordered were some that I'd never seen before. I had planned on painting them because all I'd seen, while searching the internet, had gold bowties but I kinda like the black one on these so I'll have to think about it a little more. And thanks for the compliment!!

truck looks great with the black wheels! I'm also trying to figure out if I should get rid of the chrome side moldings - I know they make them body colored in the same size for their work trucks as I saw it at the dealer....

I have the same black caps that I found on Ebay for my black CK162 22" 6 spoke wheels.

 

If you are interested, I have a set of the chrome caps that I got for the wheels before I discovered

the black ones for sale. I'm looking to get rid of the chrome caps but haven't gotten around to

advertising them yet, mostly because I don't have a website to host the pics on. They were mounted

on the wheels but were removed before the wheels made it onto the truck, so basically brand new.

 

If you google CK162 images, you can see pics with the chrome centers. They look good but I wanted

the all black look, except for the lugs.

 

I also replaced my chrome side molding with 2.5" painted moldings from Dawn Enterprises. I really

like them, had them on the wife's 2010 Terrain. You send them the paint code and they come nicely

color matched. Mine came from a random ebay seller.

Thanks but I've decided the all-black ones look much better. I never saw the blacks ones anywhere I looked on eBay or any GM parts site on the internet. I was pleasantly surprised when the parts guy at the dealership opened the black ones up yesterday morning.

The black caps are great. One of the Chevy dealers on ebay had them for about a month and then they disappeared. I tried to get a part number off of the cap but the number appears to be the part mold number and the chrome caps have the same numbers molded into them as the black ones. My wheels are the ones on the Rally Edition and all the pics and TV commercials show them with the chrome caps.
