What is best source for LED strip lighting?

Recommended Posts

I want to add a couple LED strip lights inside the bed area of my truck after installing a camper shell. I want something that is durable, reliable, and is waterproof, any recommendations for a quality product? My preference would be a rigid strip instead of the tape on style but not a necessity.

Thanks

I bought a pair of these. http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=121196703416

Output is good and quality seems fine, but self stick was not holding long onto my spray lined bed side so I used construction adhesive and they are stuck solid now.

The 60cm was perfect for the two sections on my 6.5 ft bed but may need to be shortened for a short bed.

For the price I am happy.

I've always used these: https://www.superbrightleds.com/moreinfo/led-accent-lighting/wfls-x-series-weatherproof-high-power-led-flexible-light-strip/1466/259/

Completely waterproof, long lasting, very bright, and cheap. Plus, they're customizable for length, color, and finish.

These are only 3528 LEDs, not as bright as 5050 SMD. Get these and you'll be set. Wire them up to your existing bed lights.

I bought these tape style: http://www.ebay.com/itm/181435517609?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&var=480407303333&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

I haven't installed them yet, so I can't vouch much for them other than the fact that these suckers are bright! They have 120 LEDs per yard and are fairly low priced. They also sell connectors or you can just solder them: http://www.ebay.com/itm/181790891386?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&var=480732900409&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

I also was concise ring doing this. I bought the OEM bed light kit off eBay for $60. Lights kind of such. Thinking about just leaving them but splicing LED strips up the bed sides. I bought 5050 LED strips off eBay to add footwell lighting in the past. They are pretty bright and only cost me about $3.50

Only thing I would recommend is buying a better quality double sided tape. Mine came unstuck after a couple months. I just slapped some M3 double tape right over the existing tape and they have not moved.
