I have a 00 sierra need to know if my keyless entry works? I want to know how i can tell if my keyless entry riciver works?

You state that the keyless entry works, then ask how can you tell it works????? Maybe it's just me but I don't understand..........

I'd start with the key fob. O'Reilly's usually has a tester at the counter for that purpose. Once that checks out, then you can look into the receiver part.

push the button of fob. Watch for the lock moving or listen for an audible lock.

It locks from the inside the remote is new and the battery also. I just know how to check the reciver.....

If you know how to check the receiver, what's the problem?

 

Press the lock button, if it locks the truck, it's working.

Press the unlock button, if it unlocks, it's working.
