2015 one ton Truck selection

Recommended Posts

So guys I'm in a little bit of a pickle. Well not really but just curious. I currently have '12 F-550 6.7 PS for work. I love this truck, the interior and the comfort and everything is great. However the 6.7 has had some issues. I currently can pick up the exact Ford 350 for my personal truck for 12K below sticker. Truly a smoking deal! Just curious what you duramax owners thoughts are and how you are liking the new generation of HD GM trucks. Thanks guys!

love mine. i haul a 275 gallon water tank a couple days a week in the bed. i average 20-21.5 mpg empty mixed driving. 25-26 on the highway. 16-18 with the full tank loaded up. i am also tuned and deleted which helped tremendously with the fuel mileage was averaging 18 before the delete.

i have 17k on mine and haven't had an issue. i did just leave a dealership, after 5 years in service, which helped my decision to delete well within warranty. never saw one issue with the lml that didn't involve the emissions equipment. the occasional trans cooler line on brand new trucks, and random piddly shit but other then that rock solid.

Ford cab+chassis trucks get the crappy 6.7 where as the reg trucks get the good one, there are several upgrades on the '15/'16 Super Duty's, you like the truck and can get a good deal so go for it.

At a minimum you could test drive both the GM and Ford before signing papers.
