What's with Paco, and this "Redneck" thing?

I have been browsing the forums for the past half hour or so, and have recognized a re-occuring theme from Paco, that seems to look down at Rednecks.

I am not sure, but I might be a Redneck. I drive a pickup. I like to watch NASCAR. I am a blue collar worker (Journeyma Hydro-Mechanic) I don't sympathize with, or tolerate homosexuals. I have morals, ethics, and believe in doing the right thing. Does this make me a Redneck? Why is this a bad thing? :angry:

Paco is hard to explain to new people.

You'll just have to hang around for a few days\weeks (Maybe more) to catch on.

Among the many rednecks that hang around here, you'll find a few hicks, some hillbillys like myself, several flatlanders, suburbanites and a number of yuppies. :lookaround:

I think the old saying is "The man doth protesteth too much". Meaning of course that by protesting a particular situation too much the man shows his own guilt.

Paco lives in Alabama. Don't get me wrong, a good portion of my family is from Alabama and they are great people. They are also all rednecks too.

Do the math: If A=B and B=C, then A=C.

A equals Paco

B equals Alabama

C equals Redneck

We've all got to be something. I can't speak for Paco, but IMO there are different categories of rednecks and most of them are fine with me. Sometimes I fit into some of those categories, I just don't like the extremist rednecks who think they have kick everybody's a$$ who isn't a redneck.

I'm from WV, you can't help but be around rednecks, and you can't help but be a little redneck yourself. Nothing wrong that. I think it just fits inot the old saying.....

it's just a joke, don't take it so seriously....i live in b-ham where the population is 80% black..so our definition of redneck could be different. i too drive a truck...so im not bashing rednecks for that.
