They got me...

Maybe wrong subforum idk, but they got my wheels last night. To add insult to injury, they even took the lug nuts. Silver lining though, now I can see what appears to be a very small exhaust leak that I probably wouldn't have seen before. 5642c71789eb094c2b6697e8c946eb87.jpg

WTH is wrong with people?

Sorry to hear about your bad luck. Hopefully they get caught. Time to upgrade the security system...

Seems like this is pretty common in Texas?? This is like the 4th post I've seen from people getting their wheels jacked on this forum.

That sucks, I hope karma gets them and hopefully your insurance gets ya a nice new set.

I'm pretty sure my 2015 Silverado has a small exhaust leak as well. I'll check it out when I put my level kit on this weekend. About where at did you find the leak?

There's a very small pinhole leak on the bottom back of the muffler. Decent amount of soot. Never had a reason (no sound or anything) to go looking for one, but it's there in all its glory.

Sorry to hear.

I asked that question in another thread and I didn't check if you answered, so I ask again...why do you have a two car garage and your 2015 truck stands outside?

Just wondering, I don't mean to offend anyone!

I might be naive but there are different alarm systems on the market for a vehicle, house etc. Why is it that no one has developed a 'silent alarm system' for wheels yet? I'm sure there is a way to find a solution.

cheers!

Thats a weep hole for condensation. Every muffler has it. Even my Corsa Sport muffler has it.

Sorry to hear about your wheels tho dude! Thats just shitty.

Looks like I'm not the only one experiencing issues with the forum ^^^ mine did the same thing.

Truck just flat out doesn't fit. I can get it in the garage, but not open the door when I'm in there. Whoever built the house just left the garage a little too skinny. Needs about 2 feet more width. Seems all garages are designed for cars and not trucks/suvs.

Bummer to hear about the wheels. That well and truly sucks! In regards to the "exhaust leak" - I believe that is actually a weep hole you are looking at and that it is by design. My truck has the same hole in the same location. I asked the service manager at the local GMC dealership about it one time when I was getting the tires rotated and was told that it was to prevent excess condensation from accumulating.

That really sucks. Hope they catch the POS thieves. Enjoy your new wheels and tires.

Good information to know. Weird that my old Avalanche didn't have one or at least I never noticed it, and I definitely had to work on that exhaust system a couple times.

It definitely had it. But the avalanche was port fuel injected. But with the new direct injection motors, more soot is created in the exhaust. So the weep hole gets sooty, just like the tailpipes.

Wtf happened?

Whenever I hit the "post" button, it lags and doesn't act like it gets sent through. So after hitting it three more times with the same outcome, I closed the browser and re-opened it to find that each time I hit "post" it duplicated my response lol.

Makes sense, thanks for the info.
