Not sure if you are in West Texas (out toward Midland or Amarillo), but if you are in West, Texas, these might be of interest in South Austin on Craigslist...off of a Silverado (could get new center caps)..

or these in San Antonio off of a Sierra

More from a Sierra in College Station

Thanks for the help but I'm in West Texas near Midland. Already checked Craigslist a few times today. Nothing there that catches my eye. I'll probably be buying some replica wheels similar to the ones they stole but either all black or black + brushed aluminum.

Whenever I hit the "post" button, it lags and doesn't act like it gets sent through. So after hitting it three more times with the same outcome, I closed the browser and re-opened it to find that each time I hit "post" it duplicated my response lol.

I've done it a few times myself , click Preview post if you want to check paragraphs , pictures and then Add Reply

If they aren't already motion lights, it would be easy to upgrade! (looking at the eave above the garage door).

They would probably steal the lights, When I lived in Mphs TN 1980's a El Camino was stolen from Pastors carport while he and wife were sitting in the kitchen

That sucks dude. They got mine 2 weeks ago. I had security lights and they just unscrewed the bulbs.

I had a Viper alarm installed that texts your cell and the remote fob will alert you also.I tested the tilt sensor and it went off when I barely jacked up the truck. My installer added another battery ground up high on my firewall. The thieves are now reaching in through the wheel well and cutting the ground wires to disable the alarm. That and a battery backup for the alarm is extra insurance.

I'm installing a bright ass dusk to dawn light tomorrow up high on my garage with my security camera.

Good luck.

When I bought my Tahoe I went to Dallas and picked it up on a uhaul flat trailer, got home late and pulled in front of the house, went straight in and went to bed. Woke up the next morning and the front tire straps were off and one of the chassis frame chains were removed. Someone tried to steal it in the span of about four hours.

I will keep this post in mind when I get an alarm for the truck. Shouldn't be a problem to install a second ground, and couldn't hurt anything to do it just in case.

Dang man you seriously got lucky. I know it's bad out here these days but that takes some serious guts.

Texas just has A LOT of trucks. Something close to 50% of trucks sold are in Texas.

Yup. That's a large market to sell your stolen wheels to as well. Easy $1,000-$1,500 for the thief.

Sorry to hear they got you. Like everyone said, you'll be getting some new wheels at least.

Doesn't help that my block is new and they are still building houses so there are some unsavory characters always driving up and down our block. People are scum.

Also, check with your dealer. Mine keeps the stock wheels when they put on 22's for customers.

Yeah, I see a lot of dealer take-offs on Craigslist. Easy money, it's not like they subtract the value from the upgrade when they are sitting on the lot with them.

Those dealer take-offs might just be a set of the the stolen ones that "just has 100 miles".

Sorry to see this. I hope the pos scroat bag thieves are apprehended. Some people have a lot of nerve! I'd be furious

Yeah I checked with them and another about 20 minutes away, they had a set of 22's but that's it. Ended up ordering some black replica ones from a local shop. They had a set in for another customer and let me take a look. Look just as good as the oem ones to my untrained eye. Should come in friday. In the meantime, the company I work for has loaned me some wheels from an 06 silverado lol. Looks terrible.

Here's the ones I ordered.

I just thought of something that would be cool but GM probably won't ever make it happen:

When your stolen wheels that you report as theft get installed on another GM truck, the TPMS send a message via on-star and the police are notified.

Maybe we can just start a rumor to that effect to discourage the future thieves...
