I have been reading on this forum for a little over a year and finally decided to join, but hate that this is my first post. My truck has developed a vibration in the floor and seats at around 69-75 mph. The truck has been to the dealer once and they checked the drive shaft and the tires and said it needs the ring and pinion check and sat up an appointment for a week later well fast forward to today and they called and pushed it out another week. My question is how long should I give them before trying another dealer or an alternative, this is the closet dealer and been the easiest to work with.

Edit**

i just checked my records and that was on 10/1 when I picked it up and the new drop off date is 10/19. Is that normal?

That definitely sounds like a long time. They sound like they are really backed up, or low on techs. Unless they already diagnosed something and are waiting on parts there is no reason for them to take that long. Is this the same dealer you bought your truck from? If so I would try to discuss with them about covering that months payment due to an extended service time on what is still a new truck.

No not the same dealer I bought from however I have done lots of business with them. The more I read here in the issue the worse I wonder if it will be fixed.

The issue is just all over the place. I initially noticed my truck vibrating around 30k miles. Went to dealer, had my tires re-balanced and vibration was 95% gone at all speeds. Fast forward to a few thousand miles later and the vibration came back, I attributed it to the worn LS2's so I go ahead and order new wheels and tires. Get those put on and tons of vibration, turns out some shims that are placed on the studs were not removed. Now at 40k miles the truck is iffy, I feel that at this point I'm hypersensitive to any vibration but there is a bit around 75mph.

Just my .02

I would be less irritated if my truck would have waited till 30k it started around 2000 and has around 4000 now.
