Do you have Intellink,? If so, it should be in your settings.

No idea on a 2016 model year truck. But, when I bought my 2010 Sierra it came with a book in the center arm rest that gave me the instructions on how to modify the various settings like auto door lock, and unlock time delay. Have you checked to see if GM still gives that book out with new vehicles? I know in my case it took less time to open that book and check the index than it would have taken to locate a web forum on GM trucks, register, then create a new post asking how to do something like change a setting, then wait a few hours to see if someone had replied. It actually would have taken less time than it took me just now to write this message.

It has Intellink. I have been through ALL the menus. If it's there it's label in such a way that I can't relate it to the delayed lock.

I also have the book which has a section about this on p164 that just says "press power door lock switch on the door" & "Select On or Of". It does not say where you select on/off. I have tried this of course and the the only thing that happens(nothing on the screen) is the doors lock/unlock when the lock/unlock switch is pressed.

Maybe I'm missing something obvious.

Intellink ... fancy shmancy .. :D

On my ancient model (LOL), there's the DIC - when you get to the door lock part, it says your choices are: "In gear", "Above 5 MPH", or something to that effect. I think I recall there being an "Off" choice, but can't remember. I'm going to have to look when I get in there again and shut it off - that part always annoyed me. I played around with it when the truck was new, and just left it at "Above 5 MPH", so the damn thing won't lock every time I want to drive 5'.

Wish I could shut that damn "key in" reminder that blasts my eardrums out, and makes me want to smash the truck to pieces with a baseball bat ...

I swapped the head unit out for one of those OGM-1 units with external amps and sub. Key in buzzer no longer works because as soon as the door opens, power is cut to the amps, stopping the ding ding noise. The auto door unlock/lock feature only bothered a friend of mine. For some reason he has to try to open the door the instant the truck stops rolling instead of waiting that one or two seconds it takes to move arm to shifter, and put in park. His mistake was letting me know it annoyed him. I try to time it now so that I put it park while he has the handle pulled out. And if I am quick, I can get out and lock the door, and close it before he is done bitching, and now he has to unlock the door to get out. Old people are fun to screw with.
