I think I'm losing power

So were getting a new parking lot at work and on the way out today i wanted to leave my mark. Turn traction control / stabilitrac off and try to leave some nice stripes to get torn out tomorrow. Couldn't break them loose. Tried a few times and nothing. They used to be so simple to get spinning but I just couldn't do it. I haven't really noticed any lost power driving around but maybe i just haven't been paying enough attention. Could i be missing something?

What engine and gears are in it, because I have done a burnout in mine with 35's and the truck is stock under the hood. I have the 5.3 with 3.42 gears

5.3 with 3.08 i know not the best combo but it used to break them free with ease. Maybe i was running e85 at the time and don't remember. But i feel like the 5.3 makes plenty of power to do a burnout.

Could be your tires had lower air pressure due to colder weather. Making it harder to break loose.

I mean with direct injection engines and the valve buildup issues that they have, I expect a lot of people to be losing power over the life of their vehicles unless they get a valve cleaning.

Try it on some old asphalt.

(and I wish it was possible to disable auto so it doesn't 'accidentally' get turned on)

thats definitely possible. I noticed my tire pressure drops 4lbs in colder weather.

ok i am an idiot. I was in "auto" instead of 2hi. I accept and any all shaming for my idiocy.

Haha... Before I leave my driveway I always make sure I'm up 2wd.
