"e STEINBAUER chip is basically a small computer that plugs in between your ECU and your injector. It monitors your engine RPM and your engine load to determine when extra fuel is needed to add extra power. It does not add fuel at low engine loads or idle to make sure you are not wasting fuel. As it plugs in between the injector and ECU, the ECU never knows our chip is on there. It also does does not leave a footprint on the ECU. Our unit is not a pressure box. A pressure box fools the computer into increasing the fuel pressure which can lead to problems such as split injectors or blown fuel pressure relief valves. Our box monitors the engine load and RPM and increases the fuel being added by increasing the pulse width of the main injection when needed. This results in a 20-25% power and torque increase. In most cases we either see more speed and constant fuel consumption or less fuel consumption because the engine does not have to work as hard with the extra power. As for any records on dyno testing for this vehicle I do not have on hand since all those testing are done in our main headquarters in Austria. I've copied below this email the installation guide"
