Rough Country 2" or 2.5" leveling kit guys inside!

debating on doing a rough country 2" or 2.5" leveling kit on my 2015 GMC

I have 4000 miles and would like to put the kit on before i do my first oil change that way I just do a alignment at the same time as the oil change.

also my truck is a 2WD. I wanted a 4wd but I couldnt pass up the deal I got. So I doing a level kit because i dont like a raked truck.

One question is does the 2.5" kit keep the truck level or does it have a rake?

just wondering because I see the rear block is a 2" block that replaces the factory 1" block.

And would any of these kits do any extra wear on the suspension?

being that both of these are low in cost it really dont matter which one I choose but just wanted some input.

I'll be installing it myself (used to be a auto tech, did mainly suspension work)

I bought the 2.5" kit but only put on the front as I ran out of daylight to do the rear.

The truck fenders are at the same height from the ground. I got 39" all around from the ground to the bottom of the fender above the tire.

I have the 2.25" installed and I feel like it's slightly higher in the front...I notice it when it rains...the water seems to puddle slightly towards the windshield. from the naked eye it's not noticeable

well I just order a 2" kit for the front. The more I thought about the rear being a tad higher the less I think it will be good for me. being im 5'8" and always using my bed for work it might be more of a pain.

Same here, 2.25 and it measure a tad higher in the front....just a little tho but it drives me crazy knowing it. May take the bottom spacer out which would make it a tad higher in the rear.

You did the right thing, 2in. is perfect for stock rear.

going from a 1984 chevy short bed to this truck is no comparison

I think the 2 inch is perfect. The front doesn't look higher either. The 2nd pic is next to a 4wd HC @ Home Depot and you can see how much of a difference it makes.

I have the full 2.5" RC kit on my truck and I have about 5/8" rake in my truck. Not quite 3/4". Which is better for me. Bc when I tow something or haul something, my rear isn't lower than my front.

If you are completely level, no rake, when you put something in the rear, you will have that rear squatty appearance.

To each their own! You do what's best for you and what makes you happiest

Rc is the way to go. Also I think the crews with 6.5 bed sit little lower right ?
