Hey guys I just bought a TonnoPro trifold cover for my truck. I just have one little problem. I put it on last night and I canmt seem to get the the part of the cover closest to the tailgate to close tightly against the tailgate. I've adjusted the clamps to clamp down as much as possible without breakibg anything but it still seems to leave a little gap between the too of the tailgate and the water stripping on the cover. Has anyone else had this problem, or is there a way to fix this?

If you cant slide the clamps closer to the tailgate get a roll of the black foam seal like you use for doorways and windows and try that.

It's just the design, you have to tighten the clamps to where it feels like it's going to break when you latch it down and it's still not a good seal. I had two Tonno-Pro trifolds, one of which was a warranty replacement. They're junk, I switched to an Extang Solid Fold.

I got a used one and had this issue. Flip the last panel up, the rail with the clamps are held in by 2 sheet metal screws 1 on each side, unscrew them ,silde the whole bar about 6 to 7" closer to the bed, but make sure the clamps can still grab the bed lip. And zip the screws back into the outer rails. And nice and tight seal afterwards. I initally went 8.5" closer but the clamps wouldent grab bed rails. Play with it before you shoot the screws in. And i dont have my clamps cranked down at all, they are good covers but for some reason that rail is too far back

After reading your response to this thread, I did some homework and watched some reviews on the Extang Tonneau covers. I'm kinda liking the solid folding model. You said you switch from the Tonno-Pro to the Extang, but didn't really offer any feedback on the Extang. Are you 100% happy?

Just wanted to say thanks. I moved the last bracket about 4" and that has sealed the cover to the tailgate. Now im happy and for $250 and $50 rebate I think this is a good deal. May not be as nice as some of the others but it'll do everything I need it to do.
