Did you check all the wires as in the power wire that connects to your alternator?

Well, the gauges jump in the morning, when I open the door and before I start the engine, whether I use the remote to open the doors or not. The warning lights don't come on because the key is not in the ignition and nothing is turned on. Something is causing current to jump across from one circuit to another.

This is going to be difficult to find only happening for 3 - 4 minutes each day.

My thoughts go directly to the ground wire to the dash.

If that ground wire has lost its connection all of the lights/gauges will be looking for another path to ground. Possibly finding a path through gauges/sensors.
