2006 denali headlights

so i need to get some new bulbs, and noted that 9005 is the bulb to get, but the online sites say 9005 is a high beam bulb, yet it is what is with in the low beam projector?

 

should i not get 9005?

kinda confused

 

the dealer had OE lights bulbs for 20 bucks a piece, but i wanted to get silverstars sylvania which i found for 32 for a pair

 

what to do?

False. On denali housings, 9005 is high and low

i had basic sylvanias in there before and didnt last long at all

Silverstars dont last as long. The broghter the light, the shorter the burn. I spoke with a Sylvania rep at SEMA on tuesday and he said they basically overdrive the filament to get that bright light.

thats what i heard too, i put them in my w126 mercedes SEL, H4 bulbs, so far, for 8-9 yrs they have been fine

 

what other options do u guys like

 

phillips? is all they have at pepboys

 

i dont know the NON store brand, what is legit or not?

I still use Sylvania. Most of my driving is at night ao no light lasts long
