Removing Scratches from Black Wheels

So I got my wheels and tires all mounted up, everything went perfect. Low road force etc. I ordered Hub Centric rings and went back to have them installed. For some reason one of the tires went from like 13lbs of road force to 33lbs. So they spun the tire on the rim, got it down to 23lbs. Still not great, so we might order a new tire. In the process they managed to scratch the lip of the rim all the way around using the runout wheel on the Hunter machine.

They reluctantly agreed to get me a new wheel but tried to sell me on "having it refinished". Um no thanks, not for a perfect brand new wheel.

I told them I would take some compound to the scratches to see if they would come out. Some came out but I am still not happy with it. They don't seem to be entirely too deep and I think a couple more tries, I might be able to get them out, who knows. Note: this is around the entire circumference of the wheel so it would take me a while to get all of them out. Might bust out the Orbital.

If anybody might have some advice on how to get these out, it would be greatly appreciated!

Here are some pics, before and after compounding once.

Before: around entire circumference of wheel

After compounding: still there but might come off with a few more tries
