Remote starter question

I have noticed, mostly on a cold start, when I click the lock button and then hold down the start button the truck makes a clicking/knocking noise for about a second after the truck starts. Has anyone else had this happen? I am wondering if I should take it to the dealership and have them check it out. If I drive around and come home, lock it and start it, it won't do it.

Cold started mine about a dozen times, I've heard no knocks or clicks. I have about 1,200 miles on my LTZ.

Mine doesn't make a clicking sound either. Is this a recent development? As in the weather is now a lot colder? Could this be due to oil pump not getting oil up to the lifters for the first couple of seconds? Just a few thoughts.

I seem to remember seeing somewhere that noise is normal. I can't remember but I think it has something to do with the tranny.

Well I didn't really notice it until I put a catback on it. Now that I have that on, it is noticeable. It almost sounds as if it is the starter gear grinding for a second. It may be normal but just wasn't sure. Thanks for your replies!

I have the same noise with a remote start -- almost like the starter keeps cranking after it's already started

Never heard that on mine but I will listen for it as the temps get colder.
