Fluctuation in Oil Gauge-Normal?

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone-  Just wanted to ask a quick ? - Is it normal for the oil pressure gauge to drop considerably at idle once the truck is warmed up?  My gauge will be at 60 when under acceleration, while dropping down to about 45 when decelerating or sitting at idle.  I sure hope this is normal.  Let me know.

If you owned a F*rd the gauge would always read 2/3 pressure unless it dropped below 3 psi...

But since you own a GM, the gauge is functional (and somewhat accurate) , and the readings that you describe are perfect!!!

Fluctuations

An Asian man walks into a bank with 10,000 Yen and asks them to be converted into Dollars.  The teller does the exchange calculations and gives the man the dollar equivalent.  The next week the same Asian man walks in again with 10,000 Yen and asks for Dollars.  The teller again does the exchange calculations and gives the man his Dollars.  Noticing the amount he got this week was less than last week, the man asks the teller why.  The teller replied "Fluctuations".  With that, the man gets very mad and starts to storm out of the bank in a fit.  Before he goes out the door, though, he turns around and yells, "Oh yeah?  Well, fluc you Americans too!!"

I love that one.
