foo.c Posted December 18, 2015 Posted December 18, 2015 I don't know about your family but we have 2 cars, so it's more like 4K for the built in option. I just can't wrap my ahead around how that makes sense, but if it works for you great. I'm cheap. I bought 1 iPad and they have to share it. I can buy a shitload of content for 4K. (I'm also posting this from that iPad. Try that with your built in system.)
Sidewayz Posted December 20, 2015 Posted December 20, 2015 I bought two black leather headrest monitors and a stand alone DVD player on Amazon for 119.99 (These were in my last truck not my new baby) It was nice but our kids used their iPads more at the end of me having that junk, I mean truck. I left them in it when I traded it in because we didn't want to bother with them in the Silverado.
Red_5 Posted December 22, 2015 Posted December 22, 2015 I just talked to an installer about the GM headrest vs aftermarket headrest DVD systems. It sounds like the GM system can be had for a better price than the aftermarket with stitching on the headrest - $1400 vs $1600 from this guy plus $250-$300 install for either. I wasn't able to look at anything to compare to what I have in my truck but in theory I like the idea of at least using the GM system but if someone had a better idea I'm happy to listen.
AgDoctor Posted December 23, 2015 Posted December 23, 2015 Call Walt at ADC Mobile. I have bought 2 auto DVD setups from him. He always is helpful and is a member of this forum. Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk
sailor9908 Posted December 23, 2015 Posted December 23, 2015 I bought 2 Xtrons HD101's. Play dvd's, reads usb and sd cards, has an hdmi input so I can play movies off my computer if I want to. I'm pretty sure they can play games as well, haven't tried yet. Each unit came with a wireless headset and remote. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
