2015 AC compressor runs all the time

i have noticed lately that ac compressor is always running. even when i just have the heat going to the floor only and the ac button is not on. anybody noticed this? i realize that it will come on either defrost or when i press the ac button. seems weird.

I havent noticed it on my 2500 maybe drop in your service dept have a quick look, even if its just to ease your concern.My truck is so quiet inside you cant tell the AC is even running.

Condition/Concern

Some owners may comment that after turning the A/C compressor off during the previous ignition cycle, it turns back on by itself on the next ignition cycle.

This concern can be duplicated in the following scenario:

1. Begin with the engine running.
2. Turn the A/C Off.
3. Turn the HVAC blower off.
4. Shut the ignition key off and allow the system to completely go to sleep, which may take several hours.
5. Restart the engine.
6. When the blower motor switch is turned on, the A/C compressor will be on.

Recommendation/Instructions

This is normal operation and no repair attempts should be made

thanks for that. this really doesnt do that. i tested it,and it comes on with the ac button off on the floor heat setting. stays on too. defog or defrost i can see,but not floor. going in for a silly heat shield bulletin,so ill see what they say.
