HD 7 Pin Connector Hot Wire is Cold..

03 2500 HD  Crew with Tow package and 7 pin connector, everything works fine Except trailer inside Lights becasue the RED, hot wire is Cold with or without key on.

This truck also has the Trailer wiring provisions for the camper shell etc thats bundled up under the bed side by fuel fill.

Anywho, how do I get this to be hot so I have inside lights??

I know Fords are cold UNTIL you or the dealer plug in the fuse and relay that comes with the tow packages(usually dealer does this before putting on lot)

is there a fuse I need to put in, or a wire to connect  or relay to be installed or what?

Does anyone have a wiring diagram?

I cant believe GM would make a guy have to wire from the battery all the way back and splice in.

Thanks

You're missing a fuse... Look under the hood and pull the BEC cover off.  If you see a red plastic dummy fuse in your BEC, pull it out and go to the dealer and ask him for your fuse.

Man this forum is great.

The only dummy fuse there is the one with the B+ on it and is Red.    all others are there.

is this the one?  Are these available from the local Kragen Shucks auto zone?  Its gonna be a while before I can get to the dealer.

Also what Amp Fuse goes in this spot if this is in fact the correct one?  It doesnt say

Mine came with a fuse taped to the brake controller wiring harness that was inside the glove compartment.  You might check there first.
