OK so I've found plenty on regearing the rear. And I know there's some swapping gotta do, what am I looking for in regards to regearing the front diff.

For what it's worth looking to go to 4.56 since I'm. Running 35s and 6.5 inch lift

Plan to, not many places up where I'm at in Canada have done the swap I think. Big shop that did my lift said " they're sure they could" but I don't think they knew it's more than just swapping gears, so I wanted the info for everything incase they didn't know. But they power train warrantied my truck for the lift, and pree sure they will for the regearing also so I want them to do it.

Rdnck is right. The front diff if anything is the easy one as it is the same as previous years. The rear diff is the one that is new.

If you have 3.08 gears you will need a new carrier from what i gather but other then that its a straight up gears and install kit that is needed.

Have 3.42 but I understood anything over 4.10 needed carrier. I want to go to 4.56 atleast

not what I have read.

Only if you are upgrading from the 3.08s you will need a new carrier...you can go 4.88s and not need a new carrier.

I will be going with 4.10s because I DO have 3.08s and the truck hunts for gears more then I would like and that is with 33s...imagine 35s lol

Can u verify that? It was your gear swap post I was originally reading and I was sure in there you had said with the 3.42 can go up to 4.10 direct swap, but 4.56 (like I want) need new carrier. Yoke ect

I believe that was for the rear on the k2 trucks is what you were reading. I had inquired with Yukon gear about it about a year ago

Ya haha, cuz I figured I had the info figured out on the regarding for the rear. That's why I posted in the k2 section. I just couldn't find anything if the front diff had changed at all

Then TX Jose got me confused. He thought with 3.42s a 4.56 would be a direct swap in the rear.

I honestly can't remember what all I typed up in that thread lol

Whatever I did say was directly from Yukon and I was just putting it out there for everyone to see
