2016 are HID, only Denali and All Terrian($500 option) have high energy LED headlamps installed.

You can find many 2016 SLT's with the LED lamps.

Thanks may try that, still not much of a lens there really but what do I know about photography. So far my strategy of getting one of these cute girls I see walking around with $2000 Nikon and stuff to take some pics is not working.

"Hey baby, you want to come for a ride in my truck down a poorly lit road with me at night", Does not seem to illicit a lot of volunteers =D

LOL my wife has one of those in a Canon. Won't let me touch it. I'm too big a child I guess. What projector did you retrofit into your spyder headlights to work with the phillips leds? I think I may use them on another vehicle of mine. Thanks!

Hmm so GMC.com does allow you to select the light with premium SLT + SLT convenience package (which is basically what an allterrian is minus the Z71). I have only seen them on the ATs but there you have it it is possible.

Thinking about it that makes total sense because the A/T is 4x4 only so this is the only way a 2WD could get it.

^^^You can have a SLT with the LED headlight bulbs.

Agreed.

Much of the year, the order notes said LED's were REQUIRED on SLT.

It currently shows HID's standard on all sierra cc trims.

LED's are RPO PDP - available on SLE and SLT with conditions:

PDP NEW! Headlamps, high-performance LED headlamps with GMC signature LED lighting
SLE - Requires and only available with (GAT) All Terrain Package.
SLT - Included with (PDT) SLT Crew Cab Premium Plus Package and (STF) All Terrain X Package.
LED's are standard on 1500 Denali (but Intellibeam is still optional)
I'm very happy with the LED's

For sure!

The were required on SLT's for mush of the 2016 build year.

There was no choice when mine was built.

(order guide then showed the HID's as standard but said the early production SLT's required LED's.)
