Fender Trimming

So I recently upgraded to some 12" wide wheels. There is a significant amount of rubbing on the lower portion of the inner fender now (plastic at bottom). Has anyone messed with trimming this up at all? Any suggestions? Below are specs and a few photos of the inner fender. And one showing off the new shoes [emoji16]

35x12.50x22

I saw a 2500 who cut his fender and zip tied his liner back to fit 12" rims. He just hit where he cut with some paint and the lliner covers it so you cant see it.

Happen to remember where you saw that? I would like to see some photos of what others have done, if possible.

It also appears that there is a norcal mod that might do the trick, if anyone has some info/photos on that.

I'll snap some pictures in a couple minutes here when I get to work. My current setup is 20x10 (4.5bs/-24offset) with 35x13.5R20 tires.

Appreciate it! So did you trim the metal portion that was behind the plastic?

Oh yeah! That metal is trimmed to the max. The biggest issue is that a body mount is located behind the fender liner. So you can trim a little but not much. I still rub a little at full lock in reverse on uneven surfaces.

I was hoping not to get into trimming metal. Have you considered some adjustable front struts? Or adding a leveling kit?

I have a 6" BDS lift kit with Fox 2.5 coilovers. The problem I ran into is I didn't realize my lift kit increased my factory track width 1.5" per side. So thats why I had so much rubbing.

Metal was trimmed on the backside of the fenders, the liner covers everything. My local wheel shop did all the work. 6" BDS + 1.5" Zone BL. XD Series 820's 20x12, -44 offset on 35x12.5 Toyo MT 3c236f3882bfe944797daabb3ae4c330.jpgfd6c3eef7ab478e298e2c5cacc6aec45.jpg2e31c8f465d9b007f85ee79c5f570fe6.jpg

LOVE the truck. Do you have any pics of the area where they trimmed, etc currently?

Unfortunately I don't have any pictures of that area but I'll try to get some for you.

Hope this helps with some trim ideas.  I’m running 33x12.50 on 20x10 with a -24 offset on a 2.5 Rc level and am going to have to do this trim as well.
