Also, accessory installed remote start does not work with the OnStar app. Only vehicles built with remote start are able to use the app for remote start. OnStar goes off of the factory build sheet for the truck so they don't show or know of any changes.

I have a 2016 LT and added remote start with the kit....It absolutely does work with the On Star app.

Just have to give the vehicle update info has to be given to onstar. (presumably thru GM, rather than by the owner)

Yes, but doesn't it only run for like 12 minutes?  Thought I remembered that.  I went aftermarket and set the run time to 45 minutes.  I want it toasty when I get in!
