2000 GMC Sierra engine tick

5.3 Vortec, Engine makes a loud tick after 2,000 rpm. Cannot figure out what is making the noise, at first thought it was an exhaust leak in the manifold but replaced it and noise is still there. Also thought it was a stuck lifter, was not. Any help would be much appreciated

  And yet here you are. Nothing to do with ego’s as far as I’m concerned. It’s information. Then it gets nasty and political mostly from Atlas. The old saying. He can’t handle the truth.   I was just asking to get the story straight. Jsdirt says one version. You say another. Jsdirt said "Trump admitted today that we've grabbed 150 MILLION barrels of oil from the Iranian tankers locked in the Strait by our Navy. We turned off their transponders, took them out to sea in the dark of night since they have zero radar capabilities anymore, offloaded every drop onto another vessel, and put them back by morning so no one was the wiser. That oil has been en-route THROUGHOUT the entire conflict."
