5.3 performance mods

I've got a 2014 Silverado LTZ with no warranty so I'm all about modding...This seems like a great start.

 

On the diablo website after I put in my vehicle it loaded up at a price of $399...sound about right? Will it come pre installed with the setting for my vehicle?

 

Also, let me know how you feel about the exhaust. How much did it set you back? I owned a magnaflow previously and I loved it but not sure what to put on my truck. I like magnaflow because its not too loud...I don't want anything ridiculous and setting off alarms....something just so you know I'm there and hear me when I step on it...That's why I'm leaning Magnaflow...

Does anyone know of any CAI or Airaid MIT's that fit a 2016 Sierra....Curious to see if anyone tried installing a 2014-2015 product on a 2016? I spoke with Airaid and they said they have nothing designed specifically for the 2016 yet but their engineers won't put the stamp of approval on a product if it's even a millimeter off. Let me know if anyone has experience with this. Thanks

Regarding intakes has anyone done a similar comparison to this for the newer DI 5.3's? I think this is for the old vortec motors (https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/55742651/Intake%20Testing/Intake%20Testing%20Results%20-%20Intake%20Testing%20Results.pdf).

 

Nearly 10WHP from a $200 Airaid Jr. on an otherwise stock truck seems like decent bang for your buck.

Agreed (if you're talking about muffler delete). I had the muffler removed and a straight pipe installed on mine today and bolted the valve open... HUGE improvement! I was tired of being accused of having an electric truck because it was so quiet, but I've dropped so much $$ on mods since I got it 4 weeks ago the exhaust was just going to have to wait. Then I found a lot of posts on deleting the stock muffler and figured for about $50 I'd give it a shot. It actually cost me $120 because I had a nice stainless tip added too. It's no Borla, but it definitely sounds much better.

I mean't "DELETE" the post. I noticed after making a post that it was a topic concerning 5.3Ls. So figured nobody would care about my 6.2L post. Sorry for the misunderstanding.
