Wix XP filter

Time to do an oil change on my 15' 6.2. Went to Oreilly to get a filter, I have ALWAYS run a Wix filter and Valvoline oil. I noted the have an XP filter now, so for curiosity I had them pull the regular Wix and the XP. Needless to say from what I can tell by looking inside of the XP it is what I am going to run for the life of the truck. Paper filter in the regular, mesh with what appears to be a cotton blend in the XP. I'll cut it open after the first change and give everyone an updated picture of the inside!

I was curious on these filters myself.

From what I can see from the naked eye it will be worth the extra few dollars during the oil change.
