For the LEDs I tapped into the parking lights. So when those go the LEDs are on. I like how they can be in without fogs or headlights

OK so an update on what I'm.thinking on doing. I bought these

I am thinking on putting them on the black strip between the hi and lo beam. Since they are white backing I was gonna use a hole punch and punch a bunch of circle dots from electrical tape since I can get a perfect 1/4 inch circle and cover the led part. Then take my plastidip and spray the whole strip, remove the dots and the only part showing would be each led and the rest all black. . these look to be a pure white...whiter than the others I had and hopefully no blue tint

OK so I put the dots to protect the LEDs. Next the plastidip. Testing it on other plastic to make sure it works. Other thought is black spray paint ...

Can't wait to see these wired up.

I'll be wiring them tomorrow. My only worry if any is the plastidip. I mean if they can go on rims then on these they should be fine.

Plasti dip holds up pretty good. I've had it on my front bowtie for over a year now, and it still looks good.

Good ...glad to hear that. Its been about 3-4 hrs since I sprayed it. It has a rubbery feel to it right now. I know its not paint but will it lose the grippy rubbery feel? Holds up good to washings and road grime?

It only takes a short amount of time to dry. It'll stay grippy, but you'll want to be semi careful washing it. Sometimes it's hard to get the dirt off of it too.

OK thanks for the tip. I'll just be sure to be extra easy and careful around that area.

Pics tomorrow later in the day

OK so an update on my plans. Today is a bit cold ...not that I can't get this wired in but I wanna make sure the 3m tape is adhered is a warmer condition. So..with that my plan is tomorrow and I came up with a way that may make this a bit .ore attractive or at least less visually obtrusive. I've seen the putco g2 and g3 lights but the light output looks way low and 130 is unacceptable for something I'm sure costs no more than 30 bucks to make. So I'll b heading to home depot to get some thin aluminum that I can shape to the black strip on the headlight

I have the tools and stuff so I'll drill the holes for the LEDs, paint it black and 3m the back to adhere it. In essence a cheaper alternative to putco which I think is brighter.

My wife's is just rolling her eyes with all the new thoughts and designs I keep running by her lol

Couldn't you just take the plastics strip that is on the headlight itself and punch holes in it and put the strip behind it for a factory look? That's what I'd do imo
