How do you remove the OEM floor mats? The one on my driver side has two clips. The owners manual says to just pull up and it will come out but I havent been able to get it to come out and I'm afriad if I pull too hard it will break the clip.

I had the same question the first time I tried to remove mine. I wasn't pulling hard enough because I was afraid I would break the clip. I finally pulled with enough pressure for them to release and the mat popped off of the clip.

Just lift one side up slightly and keep pulling up and the clips will release.

Hold the clip that's in the carpet under the mat down with one hand and pull the mat up with the other.

take something with a blunt end like a punch or a big phillips head screwdriver and push down on the round center part of the clip while you pull up it will release.

Thanks for the tip, pushing on the center with a stout pen separated the mat from the floor easy peasy.  I just bought this truck and the one under my left foot feels like it is out of place under the carpet or maybe broke under there, anyone have any thoughts on that?

My only thought is I hate mats made like this. I get that they don't move around, but my 2016, bought used, already has one of the driver clips pulling out of the carpet.

Does anyone know if the 2019+ models have this same design? Just curious.

Great tip to push on the center. I used a 5/16 flat punch to put a little pressure on the center and the mat popped right off. 2021 GMC Sierra.
