Max tow leaf springs

Does anyone know if the max tow leaf springs will fit on an All-Terrain truck?

Sure why not. They all use the same bolts and rear shackles. U-bolts and u-bolt nuts are one time use so if you swap, order them as well.

There is a thread on here I can't find as I don't know what the title was..... but a guy swapped his non max tow trucks springs to the Max tow leaf pack and gained absolutely nothing. He measured loaded squat and it was identical to his originals..... along with the leaf packs looking exactly the same as well.

I will try and do some searching. I am trying to decide between a truck with the Max Tow package and the All-Terrain package both equipped with the 6.2L. I just hate the mirrors on the Max Tow Truck and found out it was $1400 to swap them out! I love the look of the All-Terrain trucks I just wish I could get the 9.76 rear end and 3.42 gears..... I pull a travel trailer about 6 times (not further than 200 miles per trip) a year that weighs between 6500-6800 lbs. loaded so I thought the max tow would be the better way to go but looking at the difference in gear ratios on the 8 speed there is minimal difference between 3.23 and 3.42 and should be a huge improvement over my 5.3L with a 6-speed.

I swapped out my tow mirrors on my max tow to standard mirrors for about 500 bucks. And I sold the old mirrors for 800. And still need to sell the door harnesses which I'm sure I could get around 100 bucks for..

Bought them off eBay and installed them myself. Not too hard of a job

IMO save your money. At 6800 loaded the 4.3 would handle that. You don't need the max tow and if you already don't like the mirrors well then you've made your decision. Get the all terrain if that's the one you like. That trailer weight is nothing for any truck in the full size lineup. If your only towing minimally get the one that looks the best to you. No need to spend the extra money on a Mac tow that you are not even close to needing.

When I got my 6.2 max tow last spring, I asked the dealer for spec's on these supposed upgraded leaf springs, he never replied to me. They look exactly the same as the ones on 5.3l non max tow. I was fairly disappointed. I ended up buying super springs to beef it up.

Max tow truck sits higher and has thicker leaf spring pack.

 

I would remove the rear block and add a add-a-leaf to keep the same height while adding a lot more capacity.

 

I would agree with those that have max tow trucks, I would not be bothered at all about the mirrors as everyone wants those tow mirrors and they are worth a ton, you would pocket money putting the tegular mirrors on.
