Headers questions

2000 Silverado 5.3

I've got flowmaster super 10 duals out.

Thunderbolt high flow cats.

So I'm looking into headers, my question is there any that are bolt on? I can cut and weld but bolt on are always nicer.

Plenty that bolt on. The ones that are bolt on will be your "shorty" headers. Long tube and mid length are more the cut/weld deal.

If your not looking for any major power gains, just a different sound then shortys will be your best bet. They'll be way easier to install because they'll bolt up. I have Doug Thorley shorty headers on my 2006. They definitely make a difference in the sound of my truck.

Shorty headers are not worth the cost, there are not many gains there. The OEM exhaust manifolds flow very well and shorty headers barely improve flow. If you want headers, long tubes are the way to go and are proven to give you best perfromance gains and sound. Another thing you may want to do is get rid of that more restrictive than stock Flowmaster exhaust. If you want to do headers, that's going to be your choke point because of how restrictive Flowmaster is. Get yourself a good free flowing exhaust with long tubes for best bang for your buck.
