Tornado Air System

i have been looking at getting a tornado air system, and i was wondering if it would be worth spending $70 on. and will it really help my power. and those of you that have one or know of any one that has one can you tell a diffference in power. this is for a 2001 chevy silverado with the 5.3 liter. any information please.

Woodrow, think about this for a second. The motor companies (GM, Ford, DC, Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Mazda, Saab, Volvo, you get the point all manufactures) spend millions and millions of dollors to get 1/10ths of a mpg improvement in there CAFE rating. If they could get these improvements by casting in vains to ceate a vortex in the intake, they would.

 

If you are a conspericy theorest and think it is GM or Ford burrying the technology, why hasen't any other company used it.

 

The same thing I posted above goes for the $150 magnets you can put on your fuel line.

OK I know of the product and what it claims to do. If you want results that can be documented and proven get the AIRRAID Throttle Body Spacer. I have the Avalanche Z71. The only performance mod I have thus far is the AIRRAID. I get noticably better gas milage and my truck is quieter at speeds above 65 mph. I also notice that at speeds between 30 - 40 mph the truck is punchier when you step on the gas.

I believe the Federal Trade Commission plus some of the automotive mags did tests on the tornado and the magnets.  Gimmicks.

The GM Vortec engine already does what the "Tornado Air System" claims to do.  That's why they are called "Vortec" engines.

I don't think they work...but save yourself some money if you are to try.  They are on ebay for around $45.
