Last C5 Posted March 25, 2016 Posted March 25, 2016 I just got a letter from Chevrolet telling me that they are recalling my 2014 LTZ doublecab because the trailer hitch welds may crack. I don't need this at the beginning of track season. Has anybody got any info on this, do they have the replacement parts, etc?
SouthernSilveradoGuy85 Posted March 25, 2016 Posted March 25, 2016 http://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/topic/183416-trailer-hitch-recall-for-1415s-with-z82/ Already a thread started about it. I looked on both the Chevy and GM recall sites and also called 2 dealers. They all say I'm not on the recall. Hasn't seemed to be any trend or anything on who gets it and who doesn't need it. I believe there's some people on that thread that say they've waited over a week for their hitch to comes in.
ata3001 Posted March 25, 2016 Posted March 25, 2016 I had the same recall. Dealer installed my new hitch last night. That along with an oil change & I was out the door in 1 1/2 hrs.

Duey Posted January 23, 2017 Posted January 23, 2017 It seems like everyone else got their recall taken care of in a short amount of time, I have been trying to get it taken care of for almost 1 year, What the heck, crappy Dealership???
